Orchard Supervisor - Edgecumbe

We are currently one of the largest orchard management companies in the industry, offering our management services across eight key areas: Gisborne, Opotiki, Edgecumbe, Te Puke, Tauranga, Katikati, Coromandel and Waikato.

We now have an exciting opportunity for an Orchard Supervisor to join our Prospa team, overseeing our orchards in Edgecumbe under the guidance of our existing Orchard Manager.
Reporting to the Orchard Manager, this role will assist in all managerial operations as required and will carry out and oversee various orchard tasks ranging from pruning, orchard maintenance, fruit thinning, and machinery and tool operations. A key focus of this role will be to effectively plan tasks with your orchard manager, carry out orchard maintenance where required, and motivate and supervise orchard teams in the field to achieve quality results.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A keen interest in kiwifruit and learning all on orchard tasks
A good understanding of mechanical, tool and machinery operations
Excellent time management and organisational skills
A good level of physical fitness and able to work outdoors
Strong initiative to work unsupervised at times
Flexibility to work sometimes long hours including weekends
