About the Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Orchard Manager who is keen to develop their skills and grow within our business. As an Orchard Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the management of day-to-day 20 to 30 hectare orchard operations. This includes working alongside senior managers to plan and execute orchard tasks, train and lead seasonal teams, and ensure the highest standards of safety and quality are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Support & Training: Assist in training, supervising, and leading seasonal teams to achieve daily productivity targets, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
Orchard Operations: Assist with the planning and execution of orchard tasks throughout the season, ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality standards, on time, and within budget.
Health & Safety Compliance: Support the enforcement of health and safety protocols, including regular machinery checks, hazard reporting, and adherence to all company policies, such as the drug and alcohol policy.
Resource & Equipment Management: Help manage orchard resources, ensuring all tools and machinery are in good working order and available when needed.
Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain positive relationships with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and timely problem-solving.
