Orchard Maintenance

This role is permanent and this position is well suited to someone who is flexible at hours looking to work 15-30 hours a couple of days per week.
This hands-on role involves a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the efficient operation of all orchard machinery.
The ideal candidate will have experience with small machines, small engines, diesel machines, and a range of other equipment used in orchard operations.Responsibilities:Machinery Maintenance and Repair:Servicing and repairing small machines, small engines, diesel machines, and other orchard equipment.Performing routine maintenance on tractors, quad bikes, hydroladas, and other machinery to ensure they are in good working order.Diagnosing and fixing mechanical issues with engines, implement sprayers, and other equipment.Equipment Management:Maintaining and repairing hydrolators, tractors, bikes, and implement sprayers.Keeping detailed records of maintenance and repair work performed on all equipment.Ensuring all tools and equipment are kept in good condition and stored properly.Preventative Maintenance:Developing and implementing a preventative maintenance schedule for all orchard machinery.Monitoring equipment for signs of wear and tear and addressing issues before they become major problems.Operational Support:Assisting with the operation of machinery during peak seasons such as cherry harvest time.Providing support to other team members with machinery-related tasks as needed.Safety Compliance:Ensuring all machinery and equipment are operated safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures.Identifying and addressing any safety hazards related to machinery and equipment.Qualifications:Proven experience in maintaining and repairing small machines, small engines, and diesel machines.Strong mechanical skills and the ability to diagnose and fix mechanical issues.Experience with implementing sprayers and other orchard-specific equipment is highly desirable.Ability to perform physical tasks and work in various weather conditions.Good communication and teamwork skills.Working Conditions:Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.Physically demanding tasks requiring strength and endurance.
