Overview
We are seeking organized and reliable Orchard Assistants to join our team for the cherry harvest season. As an Orchard Assistant, you will be a crucial part of the team, supporting the daily operations and ensuring efficient workflow. This role involves managing internal systems, handling essential documents, and maintaining accurate records. If you are detail-oriented and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this position is ideal for you!
Key Responsibilities

Support Management: Assist the management team in coordinating daily harvest activities, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Understand and Run Internal Systems: Gain proficiency in using the orchard's internal systems and software, including data entry, scheduling, and communication tools. Ensure systems are used effectively to track progress and report issues.
Handle Documents Required for Harvest: Manage any necessary documentation related to the harvest. Ensure that all documents are accurately completed and filed in a timely manner.
Keep Records: Maintain precise and organized records of any required harvest data. Regularly update records as needed.
Communication: Serve as a liaison between the field teams and management as required. Facilitate the flow of information regarding harvest progress, safety updates, and team needs.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of supplies and equipment. Assist in the procurement process by identifying necessary materials and coordinating with suppliers.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all operations adhere to company policies and safety regulations. Assist in conducting safety briefings and maintaining a safe work environment.
Team Coordination: Work closely with supervisors, pickers, and other staff to coordinate daily tasks as requested by management. Provide support where needed to ensure the success of the harvest.
Any other tasks required day to day.

Qualifications

Organizational Skills: Strong ability to organize tasks, manage time effectively, and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in handling documents and records, with an eye for detail to ensure compliance and quality.
Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with using computers and internal systems for data management, scheduling, and communication.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey information and coordinate with team members.
Reliability: Consistent attendance and punctuality are critical, along with a strong sense of responsibility and dependability.
