The OpportunityWe are seeking an Oral Medicine Specialist to join our busy Hospital & Specialist Dentistry team in Auckland.
We have a full time (1.0 FTE) permanent position available. The Oral Medicine service is part of Auckland Regional Hospital & Specialist Dentistry (part of Surgical directorate) providing hospital-based secondary and tertiary level specialist oral health services for people living in the greater Auckland area.
The successful applicant will be joining our existing oral medicine consultants and wider multidisciplinary team of dental specialists and dentists.
The focus of the role is the provision of comprehensive hospital based oral medicine services including managing patients with:
complex oral mucosal and potentially malignant diseases;oral disease occurring as a manifestation of systemic disease;complex orofacial pain.There are opportunities for involvement in research.
The post is based at Greenlane Clinical Centre in Epsom, Auckland.
Important SkillsApplicants must be eligible for registration with the Dental Council New Zealand as an Oral Medicine Specialist (Dental Council NZ). You must have an excellent work record, an ability to integrate as part of a team, and a desire for public service.
