About the Role You will be part of a collaborative team within the head and neck service providing high quality care, improving equity and health outcomes for our local population, with a high Maori and Pasifika population. There are opportunities to develop subspecialist interests that will complement the department's current service.

About the Team/Service/Location The team is supported by a registrar, a house officer, and a clinical specialty nurse, and moving forward an additional registered nurse to support. The department is well equipped for all aspects of modern head and neck health care. We also have close ties with allied health departments and other specialties that we interact with, as well as regional and tertiary services to provide a comprehensive package of care. The department also provides medical education for undergraduate students and postgraduates.

About You Applicants must be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Medical Council of New Zealand and must be a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, or equivalent.Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
