Mo te turanga - About the role You will be responsible for maintaining the oral health of children in our region, educating children and their families on oral health and the prevention of dental disease. You will recognise, diagnose and treat oral abnormalities and disease within your scope of practice. You will work alongside a Dental Assistant as part of a supportive and friendly team who is committed to delivering quality health services for our tamariki. Excellent communication, natural empathy for children and great interpersonal skills are essential. You will need to have the flexibility to be able to cover occasional rostered evening shifts. You will also need to be able to work in other clinics throughout the region; on occasion, this may see you staying away from home for short periods of time.
