Success is not the work of one, but the work of many.Permanent or Fixed Term (multiple positions)Up to 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE)We are seeking an Ophthalmologist for Health New Zealand |Te Whatu Ora, Te Matau a Maui Hawke's Bay situated in Hastings, New Zealand.This secondary level, 400 bed accredited public hospital provides acute and elective care for our region of over 162,000 people.The successful candidate will work in a team of Ophthalmologists, registrars, an orthoptist and a specialist ophthalmic nurse in the outpatient clinic and operating theatre. We run optometrist and nurse led glaucoma clinics, registrar led minor procedures clinics and have nurse injectors for avastin clinics.The successful applicant will have a range of experience in general ophthalmology with subspecialty training being an advantage.Hawke's Bay Ophthalmologists have a collegial attitude and an active commitment to ongoing education. Monthly continuing medical education meetings are held and ongoing audit is actively encouraged.
