About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Diesel Mechanic to become part of our close-knit and exceptional team within the M&E department stationed in a well-equipped workshop based on the Napier port. This is a diverse and challenging role which involves carrying out repairs, services and maintenance on our heavy machinery such as heavy loaders, excavators, forklifts, trucks and trailers.
Hours of work are 0600-1800 on a 4-day on, 4-day off schedule. You must be willing to put in extra hours when necessary. Status: Full Time
Specific Responsibilities Diagnosing and repairing a variety of heavy loaders, excavators, forklifts, trucks and trailersServicing machineryRepairs to attachments, grapples, log heads and clampsWho we're after: We are seeking candidates who are Trade Certified (preferably A grade) or have experience in Automotive Light, with the drive to upgrade to Automotive Heavy (Plant & Equipment). You should be familiar with hydraulic systems, have a verified history of working on heavy machinery, hold a Minimum Class 2 License, and demonstrate the ability to work both autonomously and in a small team environment with a positive can-do attitude.
