The Opportunity Our Engineering team at the Otago Regional Council is looking for an Operations Technician to join the team on a full-time (37.5 hours per week), permanent basis in our busy Balclutha office. As an Operations Technician, you will be responsible for: Assisting with inspections of Flood Control and Drainage Scheme assets Assisting in maintenance of the flood banks and other flood scheme components in a manner that ensures effective and efficient operation up to and beyond the design standards. Undertaking routine monitoring of ORC Flood Control and Drainage Scheme performance Responding and monitoring any flood-related issues that relate to the Flood Control and Drainage Schemes If you are keen to have a meaningful impact on our beautiful Otago environment, ensuring its safety now and in the future, then this is the role for you!
