Operations Team Leader (North Canterbury)

The CompanyOur client is responsible for the smooth running of vital infrastructure around the North Canterbury region. They have a team of 9 multidisciplinary technicians who maintain, upgrade, optimise and commission various equipment and structures.The RoleAs an Operations Team Leader, you will establish a strong, supportive, results driven and safety conscious culture within the team. You will be responsible for the coordination and allocation of work orders and resources for your team to optimise service delivery and ensure the smooth running of the operation.You will be spending 60% of the time in office and the remainder out in the field. You will need to be tech savvy and have previous experience interpreting and analysing geographic/ performance data and information in a professional role. Experience with GIS and asset management software is preferred.While specific, technical qualifications are not required, candidates from a civil engineering, construction, mechanical/ electrical engineering, servicing, environmental, consultancy or similar background are preferred.Requirements:Extensive experience in a relevant industry focusing on service deliveryProven leadership or management experienceExperience dealing with different stakeholdersExperience planning, scheduling, monitoring and analysing dataExperience with GIS and asset management software is preferredKnowledge in resource consent processes and resource management legislations is preferredExperience in occupational health and safetyThis is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful and positive impact on the local rural and urban communities.
