With the largest composter, waste-to-energy provider, and commercial electric fleet in NZ, we're pioneering innovative solutions powered by waste.Job DescriptionRole Purpose:We are searching for an experienced Production Supervisor within our Technical Services Division, a specialist team equipped with purpose-built processing facilities and specialized Dangerous Goods transport. In this role, you'll oversee operations, schedule waste treatment, and ensure compliance with government and council laws governing liquid and hazardous waste disposal. Collaborate with our highly qualified staff to optimize efficiency, conduct safety meetings, and drive continuous improvement.What's involved:Efficiently schedule waste treatment processes and coordinate with maintenance team for plant shutdowns, ensuring timely and effective maintenance activities.Collaborate with employees to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, while also setting work procedures for non-standard tasks.Work closely with the Chemist to ensure treated materials meet disposal standards, maintaining strong communication with direct Manager regarding site operations.Conduct toolbox talks and safety meetings to enhance communication and feedback, while also monitoring work groups to ensure productivity, safety, and quality.Oversee employees' completion of all necessary paperwork, direct work allocation, and ensure equipment maintenance, reporting defects promptly and accurately to maintain compliance.QualificationsSkills/Requirements:Dangerous Goods License and experience working with DG and/or a background in Chemistry.At least two years proven supervisory/management experience within a similar role.You will be results driven and have excellent communication skills.Knowledge of hazardous waste handling regulations and procedures would be advantageous.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Experience in stock management would be advantageous.Class 4 license would be preferable.Additional InformationWhat's in it for you:Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.A supportive and inclusive work environment that values diversity and encourages work-life balance.The opportunity to make a meaningful impact by contributing to sustainability and environmental conservation efforts.Discounted health insurance and discount on various products for you and your family to enjoy.
