Job Description The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of employees and work activities to ensure all tasks are completed safely and meet or exceed the customer's requirements. Key responsibilities of this role will include Supervise operations and be accountable for the performance of day-to-day operational activities. Conduct toolbox talks and safety meetings for area of responsibility to enhance communication and feedback. Manage costs of the site with an ongoing priority on cost reviews, reduction programs and cost conscious behaviour to maximize profitability from the operations. Prepare work rosters and allocate employees to their roster daily ensuring optimal priorities Responsible for ensuring the productivity, safety and work quality of work groups in their area of responsibility Act on equipment maintenance and servicing issues as scheduled, or as result of pre start checks and order parts and PPE as required Monitor site inputs, processing and outputs and make adjustments where necessary in accordance with company specifications to optimize an efficient and effective processing operation. Ensure the WMNZ HSEQ system and processes, are embedded throughout the site and ensure HSEQ system governance and compliance is achieved and maintained. Qualifications Skills, knowledge and Experience Moderate supervisory experience and sound team working skills Mechanical aptitude Sound interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Moderate experience with mobile plant and machine operation - such as compactors and balers WTR and Full Class 1 License is preferred Operator tickets/competency for the following is desirable: loader, excavator, dump truck, water cart Current Heavy Rigid license desirable A good understanding of recycling processes.
