We are fuelled by ambition, innovation, and kiwi ingenuity to deliver the most sustainable way to manage and process waste, for a cleaner, greener New Zealand.In this role you will be joining the team that services the Council Kerbside collections contract that collects refuse, recycling and food waste from 80,000 households in the Central West Auckland area. We are seeking an experienced, energetic and dynamic Operations Supervisor who will use their skills and experience to supervise day to day operations.Key Responsibilities of the role include:Act as the primary point of contact for employees and drivers during collection hoursDaily liaison between Auckland Council and Contract ManagerAssist with employee management including daily operations, recruitment, disciplinary and absencesPlan/deliver daily/monthly toolbox talksNew council team member inductionsTraining of staff to be compliant with contract and legislation requirementsOperational efficiencies and achieving contractual KPI'sRosters and daily driver resource planningLiaising with customers/residents, employees and contractorsManage collections in line with contract KPI's and contractual guidelinesMaintain and maximise route efficienciesConduct council audits in consultation with Auckland Council, driver and contract managersGenerate weekly/monthly reports as requiredConduct monthly vehicle and site inspections/reportsPlanning and scheduling routine servicing and programmed maintenance of plant equipment and company assetsOur ideal candidate would have the following:3 - 5 years' experience in transport and/or logisticsProven relevant experience in a similar environment/role is preferableSelf-motivated and works to strict deadlinesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProven problem-solving skillsStrong relationship builder and team playerClass 4 driver's licence preferableRelevant qualification in Business, Logistics or related field will be an advantageIf you are looking for an opportunity to join a dynamic team that collectively works towards a common goal of leaving our environment better, apply now.Please note we do not always work to fixed closing dates and may start considering applications as they are received so we encourage you to apply early.Applicants for this position must hold NZ citizenship/residency or the legal right to work in New Zealand.
