Job Description:
Montoux, a leading insurance technology company, is seeking a talented and experienced Operations Manager to join our team on a part-time basis. This is a work-from-home position based in Nelson, New Zealand, with a seniority level of mid-to-senior and a requirement of at least 8 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency and productivity within the organization
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including managing budgets, resources, and timelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination and communication
- Analyze data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
- Lead and mentor a team of remote employees, providing guidance and support as needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall performance and customer satisfaction
- Act as a liaison between upper management and frontline staff, facilitating open communication and feedback
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a remote work setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset
- Resilient and confident in high-pressure situations
- Proficiency in project management tools and software
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience in the insurance industry is a plus
