Korero mo te turanga - About the role This position is responsible for the operational management and leadership of the Women - s Health service to deliver safe and affordable health outcomes through high level planning so that services can meet national health targets and service activity targets.
This position partners with the Clinical Leaders and Directors of Midwifery, Nursing and Allied Health Professions in the delivery of high quality health services.
Mo to matou ropu - About our team The Women - s Health Service is a tertiary provider of Obstetrics and Gynaecology services. Services are provided over three sites Wellington, Kenepuru and Paraparaumu. Obstetric services provide for approximately 4,000 births per annum, and include a maternal fetal medicine service and perinatal ultrasound department. Gynaecological services include a number of operating theatre sessions per week, including a gynaecology oncology service in conjunction with Wellington Cancer Centre and a regional counselling and termination of pregnancy service. Obstetric and Gynaecology acute assessments are undertaken in the women - s health acute assessment service.
Mou - About you We are seeking an experienced, positive and energetic person to lead, manage and support the effective functioning of our Women - s Health service. You would also have proven transformational leadership skills including change management and an excellent working knowledge of the health sector. You need to understand the environment within which health services are delivered within a tertiary hospital setting and the associated challenges within hospital and specialist services applying a regional lens.
The Operations Manager:
Influences, builds and refreshes systems, services or interventions that achieve the vision of the Group, CCHV, the region and nationally.Translates strategy into operational plans that improve the Capital Coast and Hutt Valley hospital and specialist services capability and increase capacity to deliver agreed services.Balances meeting day-to-day operational challenges while keeping sight of service, group and regional objectives and implementing system and process changes to provide solutions.E pa ana ki a tatou - About us
