To support our growth, we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our energetic and dynamic Tauranga team to lead our operational efforts, manage projects, and ensure smooth daily operations.
Job Overview:
As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the company, from project management and scheduling to personnel management and logistics. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, industry knowledge, and a proven track record of managing efficient and cost-effective operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Lead, mentor, and manage plumbing crews and subcontractors.
Coordinate scheduling of projects, materials, and labour.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to optimize efficiency and profitability.
Liaise with customers to ensure satisfaction and resolve any concerns.
Develop and implement processes for improving productivity, reducing costs, and enhancing service quality.
Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Support business growth by driving and aligning operational goals.
Be responsible for bringing payment claim targets to monthly meetings and ensuring variations are captured.
Report directly to the Director/General Manager, providing updates on project status, financial performance, and team dynamics.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the plumbing or construction industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of plumbing techniques, materials, and safety regulations is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent knowledge of plumbing, gas fitting, or drain laying processes and/or equivalent qualification in Plumbing or Construction is essential.
