Reporting to the Director of Operations (DOO), you will assume the position of second in command of all hotel Operations and full responsibility in the DOO's absence.This is a key position that would suit an EAM with a Rooms or F&B background.
The successful candidate will need to have extensive hospitality experience, a strong focus on excellence, plenty of enthusiasm, and a flexible approach.
The right applicant must be self-motivated, a team player, and able to work well in a high-pressure environment.The role involves:Management and training of operations' teamsEnsuring the ultimate guest experience through genuinely warm and personalised serviceInspiring the highest standards through all core departments of the hotelEffective financial and manning managementCoaching HoDs and other managersManaging logistics and communications around groups and events, ensuring a seamless outcomeAbout you:The successful candidate must be passionate, well-presented, possess strong communication skills (verbal and written), and most importantly, will go above and beyond the call of duty to deliver a true luxury experience for our guests.Additionally, you will have:A passion for service delivery and hospitalityPrevious (minimum 4 years) senior level experience in 5 Star Luxury Hotels and/or Boutique LodgesExceptional Food & Beverage and/or Front Office knowledgeA commitment to high standards and qualityA hardworking and co-operative mannerExcellent management ability and communication skillsAbility to drive a team and foster teamworkA developmental and coaching approachUnderstanding of housekeeping & maintenance proceduresAdministrative management experience, including strong financial acumenA high level of attention to detail and exceptional organisation skillsAn awareness of developments within the food & lodge industries as well as international trends in hospitalityWe are also looking for a candidate with the following attributes:A high degree of professionalismA natural relationship builderPassionate about attention to detail, which is critical in delivering luxury experiencesHighly self-motivatedAssumes ownership for their roleComfortable and calm working under pressureCore to the success of the individual in this role is that their personal values are aligned with those of Rosewood Hotels': Ownership, Passion, Transparency, Innovation, and Collaboration.What we offer:At Rosewood Kauri Cliffs, we believe in fostering a culture of learning and development, providing you with the resources to thrive in your career.
