The Company Rurtec is a well-established supplier to the international animal husbandry products market. Currently operating from temporary premises while our factory is being rebuilt, we need the right person to guide the redevelopment of our manufacturing capability and its setup in our brand new purpose-built facility in Pukete, Hamilton. In addition, we have a number of exciting new products coming to market currently. As Operations Manager, you'll oversee the manufacturing, warehousing, and customer services operations, leading a team of staff to ensure smooth daily running of the business. Your role requires developing and supporting the entire team and providing hands-on leadership. You'll not only manage operations but also work alongside your team when needed, embodying a practical, lead-by-example approach. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Staff Management: Train, supervise, and develop staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Hands-On Involvement: Lead by example and participate in daily operations, including customer services, manufacturing, and other essential areas of the business. Operational Efficiency: Implement and refine processes to optimise production and operational efficiency. Compliance: Ensure compliance with H&S and other relevant regulations. Continual Improvement: Identify areas for improvement using data and feedback. What We're Looking For Proven leadership experience, with a willingness to work hands-on and lead by example. Strong organisational, delegation, and collaboration skills. Ability to visualise and plan daily and weekly operations and adapt as needed. Proficiency in computing and ability to fully utilise the features in our Infusion software to simplify and enhance the management of our business.
