They have the expertise and technology to take projects from architectural concept to completion with an emphasis on quality and functionality.The Operations Manager is a newly created role in line with their growth.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing a small team of around 12 people and will be responsible for growing, guiding, and managing your team to ensure the manufacturing process is streamlined.
This will include ensuring that your team:Maintains and continuously improves a high manufacturing standard and efficiency in the operations of the company.Hits manufacturing & operational targets.Uses problem-solving skills to diagnose, create efficiencies, and overcome issues.Lives and breathes company values.Ensures all health and safety requirements are adhered to.Overall, you will be responsible for ensuring the aluminium joinery is manufactured on time and to a high standard while meeting customer expectations.
Experience with LEAN manufacturing and process improvement would be an advantage, allowing you to further set up systems to suit the company and manufacturing.You will have strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and overcome any issues that may arise, meet manufacturing and delivery deadlines, maintain positive customer relationships, and ensure a positive team environment.With great staff leadership skills, you will support, guide, and mentor staff to get the best out of them while aligning them to work towards company goals and strategic visions.
You will have a proven track record in managing multiple projects in a factory environment, a reputation in the building industry for providing effective leadership and credibility, and experience in positions that command respect.You will have relevant qualifications or a proven track record in the building or related industry after working through the ranks.
Familiarity with NZ building codes and regulations would be an advantage.
Experience in aluminium or windows and doors is preferred; however, applications from 'true leaders' in other manufacturing environments will be considered.To be successful in this role, you will have excellent attention to detail, be well organized, and be able to delegate tasks effectively.
Your ability to deal with pressure, high-level problem-solving, and communication skills are all major competencies required in this role.
