Your Role:
As the Operations Manager, you will lead and optimise our workshop fabrication processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety. Your role will involve managing a skilled team, implementing process improvements, and maintaining high standards of fabrication.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, motivate, and manage the workshop team to achieve company goals.
Oversee daily fabrications operations, ensuring efficiency and quality.
Implement strategies for process improvements and cost reduction.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety.
Manage resources, including people, materials, and equipment.
Pricing smaller projects.
Collaborate with others to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
Develop and manage the operations budget, monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving measures.
Prepare regular reports on project performance and operational performance.
What We're Looking For:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role within an engineering, fabrication or manufacturing environment, preferably in metalworking.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Experience with pricing smaller projects.
Proficiency in continuous improvement practices.
Strong understanding of fabrication processes, quality control, and health and safety standards.
Proficiency in procurement.
Ability to manage budgets and financial planning.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in relevant software and tools (MS Suite, Xero, AutoCAD and Scheduling).
