They are well established, highly successful and we are currently seeking in a newly created role, an energetic and driven Operations Manager (reporting to their NZ General Manager) to assist in managing, developing and assisting their staff across multiple locations around New Zealand. The main responsibilities within this role will be to manage the day-to-day operations of the company through managing and directing company staff to achieve the agreed results, market position and safety performance in the short and long term. You will be responsible for staff management, P&L, budgets, HSE and general management of the teams. You will (through relevant managers) have workflow coordinated to your overall team, to manage their range of services including the coordination of deliveries to customers and communication as well as the coordination of all relevant reporting to ensure high quality customer service is received by their clientele. You will also demonstrate great leadership skills and be able to communicate the vision of the company across all levels, with an innovative approach to your work and solution generation for their customers. Having a relevant engineering, O&G or similar industrial type of technical background, would be an advantage, as well as having a strong focus on HSEQ. Industry-specific experience is often preferred; however, it is possible for a highly skilled experienced manager to apply their strategic planning and critical thinking in other positions or industries to take a role in a new field. The ideal candidate could come from a diverse business background with a strong track record of successful external and internal relationships. Ultimately you will ensure that all business functions are in line with company strategic goals. General Responsibilities will include: Manage and direct all operations of the business.Ensure operational performance measures are robust, aligned and driving the businesses objectives.Ensure business complies with OH&S requirements.Manage and monitor production and project timelines.Develop, maintain and improve internal processes and policies in line with regulatory requirements..Work collaboratively with other support sections to ensure all relevant reporting is accurate and on time.Drive excellence, improvement and growth by coaching and developing team members.Train and develop personnel to facilitate a multi-skilled workforce. General MS Office skills will be required and a down to earth personality, strong communication skills, analytical mind and high energy levels will see you thrive in this dynamic role.
