### Job Description
Goodyear Tire & Rubber is seeking a dedicated and motivated Operations Manager for our Nelson location. As an essential part of our operations team, you will play a key role in overseeing daily operations to ensure seamless and efficient processes that meet our strategic goals. ### Key Responsibilities
- **Operational Oversight**: Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring adherence to company policies and standard operating procedures. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
- **Team Leadership**: Supervise and mentor a small team of operational staff. Foster a positive work environment that inspires motivation, teamwork, and engagement in achieving operational excellence.
- **Process Improvement**: Identify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvement initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
- **Inventory Management**: Oversee inventory control processes, including tracking stock levels, managing reorders, and minimizing wastage. Ensure that supplies are available and that systems meet quality and regulatory standards.
- **Budget Oversight**: Assist in budget planning and monitoring, ensuring that all operational expenditures align with financial constraints and support company objectives.
- **Customer Liaison**: Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand service requirements and ensure operations meet customer needs effectively.
- **Reporting and Analysis**: Prepare and present regular operational reports to upper management, outlining performance metrics and strategic recommendations for improvement.
- **Safety and Compliance**: Uphold workplace safety standards and ensure compliance with local regulations. Promote a culture of safety within the team and regularly conduct safety audits.
### Requirements
**Education and Experience**:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management or a related field, preferably within a manufacturing or logistics environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
