Our business is growing, and we need someone capable, driven and responsible to manage and increase production at our purpose-built facility in Whakatu, Hastings. This is a busy role in a competitive market where turnaround times need to be fast, and our reputation is wholly dependent on the quality of the product and strength of our customer service. The role includes: Management of production processes Planning, co-ordinating and forecasting production. Driving efficiency and focussing on continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and increased productivity and throughput. Supervision of a small team, with focus on SH&E, training and development. Responsibility for production of a quality product. Being hands on with the machinery to maintain reliability, maintenance scheduling and critical spares. Foster health and safety culture on site in all areas Providing cover in the batching and mixing areas We are keen to hire for attitude and aptitude and getting the right personality fit for our team is really important to be considered for the role you will need to: Have production experience with a preference for a couple of years in a leadership role Have strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving experience. Be literate and numerate. Be a good communicator and team player who can build strong, enduring relationships. Be organised. Be a confident user of computers and Microsoft 365 suit. Be reasonably fit. Have good delegation skills and be ready to grow the people on your team. Have a full NZ driver's license. Experience of chemical handling, SH&E and/or an F endorsed fork hoist license would be really advantageous, but not essential so long as you are willing to learn.
