Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team and report directly to the General Manager. This pivotal role focuses on enhancing business efficiencies and implementing effective budget management strategies. You will play a critical part in optimising our operational systems, processes, and policies.
Key responsibilities include:
Link departmental performance metrics directly to overarching company objectives.
Align site operations with business goals through a comprehensive strategic plan.
Oversee financial aspects of projects, including budgeting and implementing RFP and change management procedures.
Offer analytical commercial insights to guide the Kaituna Lead Team (KLT) in strategic decision-making.
Engage actively in both forecasting and budgeting exercises to anticipate and plan for future financial needs, LTP, budgets and H2 forecasts to be supported.
Build detailed business cases for tech investments, outlining project boundaries and CAPEX plans to boost efficiency and financial gains.

You will have the ability to challenge and influence our teams with the aim of driving performance to a high standard. This role is ideal for a data-driven individual who can analyse operational metrics from sawmill production and make smart and informed decisions. We are looking for someone who has the courage to explore and embrace new ideas and innovation, as well demonstrating a commitment to health, safety, and compliance in all operational aspects of our business.
