This exciting opportunity is for a skilled Operations Manager to lead a team of fabricators and installers for a leading business operating within a niche section of the construction market in the Bay of Plenty. You will oversee the fabrication and installation of a range of products, including balustrades, handrails, gates, fences and custom metal fabrication. Leading a team of 12 and working closely with the Managing Director, you'll ensure that every project upholds the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. This is a key leadership role which offers a unique opportunity to shape processes, drive improvements, and deliver exceptional results.As Operations Manager, you will oversee the fabrication and installation of metal and glass products, managing a portfolio of 20-30 bespoke jobs monthly. Your role involves meeting project deadlines and budget requirements, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. You'll also take charge of project management tasks from planning through to successful execution. Responsibilities will include:Managing production and installation teams to ensure high quality and timely results.Overseeing daily operations, including board shift meetings and toolbox talks.Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.Project management from planning to client liaison, through to successful delivery.Managing plant and equipment. This role will suit someone with all or some of the following background/experience/qualities:  Experience in production and installation management, ideally in a similar industry that works with light metal or custom products.Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices.Proven ability to effectively manage staff, projects and budgets.Excellent communication and customer service skills.
