Waitaha Primary Health (WPH) has responsibility for the provision of primary health services to approximately 50,000 enrolled patients in Canterbury and contracts with Te Whatu Ora and several other health funders. We are committed to reducing health inequalities for our enrolled population and work with healthcare clinicians, providers, Iwi, and local communities to improve health outcomes.
We are currently seeking an Operations Manager (OM) with experience in the health sector to support the organisation, the Chief Executive/senior management, and the wider Waitaha Primary Health team towards achieving its strategic and operational goals.
Mo te tunga – About the Role
The OM will take the lead on several of the organisation's day-to-day operations including HR management, contract expansion and management, marketing, and administration.
Growing capability, operational success, and business sustainability are key performance indicators, as is the ability to lead and optimise operational functions by promoting collaboration, efficiency, and productivity with internal and external stakeholders.
In this role you will be responsible for the following:
Support management of Health New Zealand and Ministry requests and directives
Managing the efficiencies of operations in line with the organisation's strategic plans
Supporting and developing current funding streams and service delivery
Obtaining new funding streams and supporting new operational initiatives that enhance the goals and wellbeing of the PHO's enrolled population
Representing the organisation at various business and networking opportunities
Promoting the direction of Te Pae Waenga, Te Waipounamu Health and Wellbeing plans, and the Pae Ora legislation
