Operations Leads - Public Transport Services Auckland Transport is leading the development of transport infrastructure and solutions that enable healthy and accessible communities.

Delivering Auckland's transport solution on such a mammoth scale is no mean feat and we need a talented team to ensure we are up to this task. 
We are seeking Public Transport Operations Leads x4 for a senior and highly influential opportunity.
These are senior and highly influential roles in the Public Transport & Active Modes group.
The purpose of this role is to lead, influence, and manage public transport operations in real time by optimising service continuity, validating and verifying incidents, overseeing customer communications, and enhancing the operational and customer experience.
This is a decision-making role working collaboratively with PT (Public Transport) operators, roading contractors and teams across AT to manage real-time performance, mitigate network disruptions and manage incidents.
This role requires a strong operations leader to assimilate information from multiple sources, communicate clear, factual, and timely information to ensure customers are informed and disruption is minimised.
Plus, to share knowledge and expertise gained from situational awareness, from on-site visits, depot visits and being co-located at the Auckland Transport Operating Centre (ATOC) and the Auckland Rail Operating Centre (AROC).
Key tasks will include: Direct and coordinate PT monitoring during incidents ensuring the impact on facilities is minimal and operators maintain service continuity, often in high-pressure situations.Provide expert PT advice to key stakeholders in relation to operational planning, service continuity, customer experience and system improvements.Build collaborative relationships and work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure there is a good understanding of PT operational perspectives to deliver effective multi-modal solutions.Assessing the impact of projects on PT and developing detour routes, contingency plans and providing a framework for operator, stakeholder, and customer comms.Assimilating information from multiple sources and, through developed situational awareness, and to use predictive analysis to identify opportunities for network development in collaboration with Public Transport operators and AT colleagues.Identify, develop, and implement process improvements to enhance systems and to improve better ways of working.Lead the quality control program to assess the effectiveness of processes, applications, situational response, and recovery.High levels of problem solving ability and initiativeStrong Communication skills, verbal and writtenExperience in mentoring othersAn ability to make sound decisions and judgements under pressure.Business degree or qualification in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experienceCIMS (Critical Incident Management System) Level 4 or equivalent qualification or experienceA current and valid NZ Driver's Licence (or equivalent)Minimum 7+ years in an operational, shift work environment including demonstrated competence in influencing and guiding a team preferably in a complex organisationAt AT, weembraceinclusion and fully support building a diverse workplace where people come first and we feel safe, respected, valued and supported, inclusive of our differences.Our values are more than just words - they are integral to everything we do.
