Join our team at Whangarei Netball Centre, where we are dedicated to creating a sustainable and inclusive netball community which nurtures our people to deliver programmes and events that will grow our potential and provide netball for both now and the future.
We strive to deliver exceptional experiences that inspire and engage players, coaches, officials, volunteers and supporters at all levels.We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Operations Lead / Games Manager to oversee the smooth running of our netball centre.
This role will work closely with the General Manager to ensure a high level of operational excellence through the development of efficient and effective systems.
This is a hands-on role that interfaces with the community, liaising with all parties involved in netball and ensuring strong partnerships which benefit the whole community.As Operations Lead you will have a keen eye for detail and a strong continuous improvement mindset to ensure the centre is growing and leading the way for our entire community.You will have the following:Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build partnerships.
Our community is front of mind, and we need to involve them in our journey as well as liaising with them throughout the season.Ability to build a strong volunteer base, recognising the unique contribution that volunteers make to the community.Agility and flexibility, to help build a hub that fosters a culture of fun, development, aspiration and success.
We also need effectiveness and efficiency in the way we operate to consolidate in an ever-changing environment.Innovation, to identify opportunities to grow our game.
This requires bold ideas and plans to deliver on our priorities and a facility programme that supports growth and community reach.Cultural awareness, with a strong understanding of the Principles of Te Tiriti O Waitangi, te Ao Maori and Tikanga Maori.
