We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Operations Labourer to join our Treatment and Reticulation teams. This is a hands-on role where you will contribute to the operational delivery of our reticulation, water, and wastewater facilities. Your work will help maintain the integrity of the three waters utility networks while ensuring that all workplaces are clean, safe, and efficient.
The Role This position involves manual labour and requires physical strength, endurance, and a strong focus on workplace safety. You will assist in various operational tasks, maintenance, and general site upkeep.
Key Responsibilities Assist Treatment and Reticulation staff in their tasks as required.Operate basic hand and power tools safely.Support general maintenance activities, including basic repairs to tools and equipment.Conduct housekeeping duties at all Treatment Sites, ensuring sites are clean and tidy.Perform basic yard work and weed control at all sites.Assist with irrigation activities and tractor work at designated sites.Carry out pick-ups, deliveries, and ad hoc tasks as required.Support water and wastewater sampling processes when needed.Report any equipment malfunctions or site hazards to team leaders.Maintain accurate operational records and communicate effectively with team members.About You Physically fit and able to perform manual labour tasks safely and efficiently.Able to work collaboratively within a team environment.Willing to learn and take on new tasks.Reliable, with a strong focus on health and safety in the workplace.What we'll offer A salary in the range of $52k - $70k (mid-point $61k depending on level of experience), with 5 weeks' annual leave.If you are someone who thrives in hands-on roles and takes pride in maintaining safe, clean, and efficient worksites, we would love to hear from you!
