About the role We are seeking a proactive and exceptional team player to join our Market Operations team in Tauranga. You will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and contribute to a close-knit yet highly energetic team. We're looking for someone with strong decision-making skills, excellent communication, the ability to multi-task and the composure to remain calm under pressure. The primary purpose of this role is to optimise the performance of Manawa's generation stations by effectively scheduling and dispatching them to operate safely and efficiently on a 24/7 basis, while ensuring compliance with electricity market regulations and environmental standards. Our ideal candidate will Bring a positive and proactive approach to their work Demonstrate strong analytical skills with a commercial focus Have solid experience in the electricity industry or related experience in a control room, continuous process, or trading environment Possess a sound understanding of New Zealand's Electricity Market and the Resource Management Act Have practical experience with power generation or heavy machinery Understand electricity transmission and distribution networks, including associated constraints Exhibit good judgment, with the ability to work independently under pressure during 12-hour shifts as part of a 24/7 shift roster Possess outstanding communication skills At Manawa Energy we invest in the growth of our people so if you don't quite have all of the skills and experience listed, still apply!
