Nanobubble Agritech is pioneering integrated nanobubble technology solutions for the irrigated agricultural and horticultural sectors in New Zealand, Australia and the world. Nanobubble Agritech build machines that are easily retrofitted into growers' existing irrigation systems, allowing water to be treated with oxygen nanobubbles before being delivered to crops. These innovative chemical-free systems significantly improve plant growth rate and yield, resistance to disease, soil health and water use efficiency. Our goal is to evolve the irrigation industry, by designing and building quality systems that add value to our clients' businesses,promoting both greater production, profits AND improved environmental outcomes.



Role Description

This is a full-time role, for someone who wants to work in a fast-paced, early to mid stage start-up environment.



The role requirements are broad and will ultimately be shaped to the right person's previous work experience and strengths. At a high level, the successful candidate will be required to contribute to:

building and installing of equipment,
productRnD design,
manufacturing systems and process development,
project/operations management (dependant on previous roles).


Ideally, we are looking for someone with a combination of either engineering/operational, and building/workshop skillsets. This could be an early-mid career level engineer, or agricultural/horticultural professional with irrigation (practical or design) and workshopexperience, or someone transitioning from their first junior role in a startup, engineering, or irrigation discipline.



Location:

Based in New Plymouth, New Zealand, with large portion of installations within the Canterbury region of New Zealand and/or Australia.



The successful candidate will have:

A thirst to prove themselves, forge their own path, and be rewarded for their work ethic and performance; high achieving and driven to succeed.
Good practical skills, ideally with an ability to show examples of projects you have built or worked on prior (experience with basic tools essential,must be physically capable)
A problem-solving/solutions based mindset
Wants to be part of a team that that is changing the way we produce food to be more efficient, more profitable, and more sustainable
Ability to either understand or be taught fundamental laws of physics, and be able to translate this to practical implementation
High level of attention to detail, commitment to quality and pride in their work
Project management experience and/or strong organisational skills
Excellent communication skills
Must be able and happy to work without supervision
Desire to work in a dynamic start-up environment where performance directly determines individual and company success
2+ years work experience in engineering or irrigation (build and design)
Formal qualifications valuable but not essential
Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word.
Candidate can be from outside of New Zealand, however,must have good English, a current work visa,and be willing to immigrate to New Zealand long-term, should they accept the role e.g. apply for residency. This is not a visa sponsorship opportunity.


Remuneration:

NZ $70,000 - $130,000 p.a. based on previous work experience and skills.

Significant % of salary made up of ESOP (Employee stock ownership plan), with ability to capture decent percentage, given early stage of start-up.
