Newly created role – join us on a digital transformation journey!Utilise a really unique skillset in Operational Technology (OT)Role of responsibility, work close to home in the Horowhenua / Kapiti regionsThe Opportunity:A new opportunity has arisen in our Information Technology Team as the Operational Technology Lead. This role reports to the GM – Information Technology. This is an exciting time within Electra, as this role sees you managing our Operational Technology platforms and networks, across the business.Why does this role exist?This role exists to ensure that our OT Systems and networks are fit for purpose ensuring our distribution networks meet availability and service parameters to our community.It is an exciting time at Electra, as we journey through a digital transformation, bringing IT and OT together, as one purposeful, well thought out, technology stack.Key Responsibilities:Managing the maintenance of our OT Platforms and NetworksMaintaining our OT Platforms and Networks availabilityEnsuring our OT Platforms and Networks are resilient and reliable and operational, at all timesBusiness Continuity PlanningOT Cyber Security ManagementOT Continuous improvement, identifying, advocating for and implementing upgrades and enhancementsEnabling and leading IT/OT Integrations between the entire tech stackAbout You:To be successful in this position you will possess:A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent proven experience in a similar roleFamiliarity with GE iFix or similar SCADA systems, coupled with knowledge of Milsoft ADMS or similar Advanced Distribution Management SystemsSubstantial experience in an outsourced or managed services environment or a commercial business like Electra, related to OT systemsA passion and deep knowledge of the OT stack as it relates to an electricity distribution business. Your knowledge is second-to-none, you are the leader and subject matter expert, in this fieldIt goes without saying that you are communicative, focused on best practice and a leader in your field. You can work autonomously whilst being part of a team, and leading people and systems, on a journey of transformation. You are inquisitive and thrive on optimising and improving systems to ensure their reliability. You work well with stakeholders, both internal and external.You are logical, use common sense, and are solutions focused and outcomes driven.
