On Farm Soil Sampling (Crop Monitoring Scout)Join our Crop Monitoring team in a physically demanding role working outdoors to help us complete soil core collections. 
We have opportunities for work near Tokoroa/ Putaruru. 
Soil core collections occurs between now and September, this is generally a casual position working as and when required as dictated by client demands for the soil sampling service.There is flexibility to work between one and four days per week, work will fluctuate each week however it could be around 10-20 hours per week depending on client needs. A typical day of soil core collecting involves travelling to a farm and conducting the soil testing programmeYou will require a level of fitness for this position as you will be walking approx. 5 kms per day across dairy or dry stock farmsYou will also be climbing gates to access paddocks, bending repetitively as you use a probe to extract a soil sample and carrying a backpack with approx. 5kgs of soil core collections What you'll bring to the team: No Prior experience needed! If you are committed to working, and are comfortable walking around a farm we will provide you all the necessary trainingGood physical fitness, this role is an active role where you will be on your feet walking and bending throughout the day A full, current, and clean NZ drivers' licenceExperience driving a 4WD Ute on farms/ country roads is required + you will require your own 4WD - Mileage will be reimbursedAbility to follow instructions and comply with Health & Safety requirementsA current First Aid Certificate is preferred however we can supply this training if you meet all other criteria.A bit about us: For over 160 years PGG Wrightson (PGW) have worked alongside New Zealand farmers to service their on-farm needs, supporting our common goal of helping grow the country.
