As a Locality Officer, you will act as a key ambassador for the Council, engaging directly with customers in your area and addressing their needs efficiently. Your role will be to provide broad operational support, assisting in a wide range of community and compliance activities.
This role includes responsibilities such as conducting inspections, collecting samples and data, supporting case management and specialists, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
He aha taau e kawe mai | What you'll bring Relevant Qualifications and Experience: NCEA Level 2 or equivalent and a full NZ Driver's Licence. You should be highly skilled in communication and conflict resolution, with experience in evidence gathering and investigations.
Community Engagement and Mediation Skills: A proven ability to engage with diverse community groups, mediate disputes, and provide effective operational support across various tasks.
Self-Management and Multitasking: Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently. You will be self-motivated, able to juggle multiple priorities, and work effectively under minimal supervision.

The salary for this position will commence between $64,402 and $75,768 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
