Opportunity at Yelverton Golf Club for an Office Manager / PA to General Manager

Location: Yelverton Golf Club, PL20 6BN

Hours: 40hrs per week with occasional evenings and weekends

Start Date: Negotiable (within the next 3 months)

Salary: Commensurate with the job title and the experience, knowledge and skillset of the successful applicant [£24,000 - £27,000 pa]

Yelverton Golf Club (YGC) is looking to appoint an Office Manager / PA to General Manager to support all aspects of the golf club administration and finance provision. This will include working closely with the General Manager, as a personal assistant, across all areas including business and finance administration, marketing and sales, hospitality, event management, and supporting the membership across a diverse range of requests eg. golf society bookings.

While knowledge of golf is not essential, excellent working knowledge of a member's club is desirable along with all aspects of finance, administration, and hospitality.

Essential Criteria:

Administration (billing, reports, invoice generation and payment, external)

Business Finance (sales, purchase and nominal ledgers, end of month reports, P/L accounts, end of year accounts, bank reconciliation, monthly payroll, daily cash)

Excellent IT skills including knowledge of accounting software (eg. CROFT, SAGE, INTUIT Quickbooks), WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT.

An understanding of hospitality including bar and catering.

An understanding of marketing across all appropriate social media platforms.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Educated to 'A' level or equivalent.

Health and Safety knowledge

Safeguarding knowledge

Managing staff

Pay: £24,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
