We're excited to announce that New World The Sands will be joining the community later this year! With a brand-new store and impressive offering across grocery, butchery, deli, bakery, produce, and liquor, we can't wait to open our doors to the Papamoa community!
With our opening date set for November 2024, we are seeking an Office & Compliance Manager to join the team. In this role, you'll play an integral part in our journey towards a successful store opening and continuously deliver an awesome shopping experience for our community.
The Role Ensure all health & safety and food safety procedures and systems within the store are appropriately maintained at a level that ensures compliance in all audits.Actively promote health and safety and food safety to all staff.Undertake hazard reviews and investigate serious accidents. Follow up reports of H&S hazards in the store. Collect and collate accident forms.Contribute to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the store through input to the senior team and active participation and support of department and store-wide initiatives.Pay bills and send processed invoices to Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable.Complete GST returns (every two months) and ensure all other regulatory requirements for the office are met.Undertake general office duties.Assist in other areas of the store as required.What's in it for you: We're in it together; we look after each other, back one another, communicate effectively, and work together as one winning team, every time.Prove yourself in a new store and within New World, which is known for its people development and career opportunities.You'll be working with the latest technology, equipment, and processes.Drive something within a flexible and creative working environment – if there's a better way, let us know!Be part of a 100% locally owned and operated store.What we're looking for: Previous administration, accounting, and/or compliance experience.Knowledge of food safety and health & safety is advantageous.Prior payroll, AP, and AR experience.High attention to detail.Ability to build strong relationships with department managers and other key internal stakeholders.About New World & Foodstuffs: You know New World, PAK'n'SAVE, and Four Square, right?
