We are on the lookout for a motivated administrator to join our team on a fixed term contract until June 2025.
Hours can be part-time or full-time during this contract and are up for discussion depending on what works best for the candidate and business.
Responsibilities Management of health & safety online portal and providing support to on-site crews with their app when required. Booking trainings, reviewing pre-starts, toolbox talks, updating registers and documentation, PPE orders and uniform disbursement, before you dig submissions and locate requests, aid in preparing documents for pre-qualifications (Sitewise and Totika), implement JSEAS/SWMS for sites.
Timesheet management - collating, approving and processing.
Timesheet and payment claim data collation – this will be an amalgamation of timesheet and invoicing software paired with excel spreadsheets.
Aid in preparing new employee contract packs and inductions.
Provide support to managing director and financial administrator when required.
Communicating with other managers, clients, subcontractors and suppliers when required.
Minute taking, scheduling meetings, communication distribution, ordering of supplies, event and function booking.
About the Company We are a local whanau owned business in the civil, roading and earthworks industry with a great crew paving the way. We have a fully established new build office and separate work yard in Shannon. Site works are throughout the lower and central North Island.
Knowledge in civil, roading or earthworks is preferred; however, it is not mandatory if your administrative skill set is at the right level that we require. We're looking for someone who will thrive in the environment and is confident in making the role their own.
Skills & Experience Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office, and other digital software such as Xero.
Some knowledge of the Health and Safety Work Act or the industry is preferred.
Full licence.
Drug and Alcohol Free (you will be required to complete a pre-employment test).
Ability to be autonomous and confident in making the role their own.
