Office Administrator/Receptionist (Parental Leave Cover) - NIWA NIWA is a dynamic research organisation and New Zealand's largest and pre-eminent provider of climate, freshwater, and marine science. What we're looking for: We are seeking a dynamic Office Administrator for NIWA's Northland Aquaculture Centre at Ruakaka. This busy role has responsibility for a wide range of administrative, logistical and operational support to the NAC management team and staff that includes: Providing a full range of office administrative support services including handling mail and deliveries, document preparation, records management, meeting arrangements and minute taking, making staff travel arrangements, and support for financial administration. Providing operational support including facilities management, procurement, contractor liaison, site inductions, and co-ordination of events and visits to site. Providing a professional and efficient reception service that provides a welcoming environment for our visitors. Site safety administration including organising regional H&S meetings, safety reporting and documentation, organising the supply and maintenance of safety equipment, liaison with NIWA's national H&S team, co-ordinating audits, and co-ordinating the delivery of staff wellness benefits such as health checks. You will demonstrate a high level of initiative, great attention to detail and the ability to be flexible and responsive. A bit about NIWA and the NAC: NIWA's Northland Aquaculture Centre is New Zealand's principal aquaculture research facility and aquaculture industrial park located at Ruakaka, on the beautiful Bream Bay coastline south of Whangarei. We currently have around 30 staff on site, working across a range of aquaculture research and production activities, including at our recently opened Recirculating Aquaculture System facility.
