Our dynamicgroup of Anaesthetic Technicians provide comprehensive care to our ruralcommunity spanning five-hundred kilometres from Karamea to Haast.
We arelooking for a motivated, team-focused Anaesthetic Technician to provide qualityand equitable care to our patients and their whanau (family).
Mo te tunga - About the Role
In thisrole, you will be responsible for :
Providing mentorship to students;
The provision of safe, professional, technical and clinical assistance tothe Anaesthetist;
Working as part of the multidisciplinary team alongside theAnaesthetist to provide anaesthesia services in the Perioperative Department,Emergency Department, Critical Care Unit, and Maternity;
Being part of the trauma and resuscitation response teams.
We operate a24 / 7 service, our normal hours of work are 0800-1630 with some variationsin-line with clinical needs. After these hours we run an on-call service sharedamongst all of our Anaesthetic Technicians.
The role will work as part of the theatre team in providing maximum quality care to patients undergoing anaesthesia and anaesthetic procedures (nerve Block, local anaesthetic, invasive lines)

Must be registered and have current Medical Sciences Council Practicing Certificate.
