The rotations cover the Medical, Orthopaedic, Surgical and Rehabilitation wards in the Western Bay of Plenty and are 9 months each rotation – the position is a permanent full-time role with the expectation that the initial 3 years are rotational through these named areas.This role is varied and offers the opportunity to improve the wellbeing of patients journeying through previous and new health conditions including but not limited to traumatic brain injury, fractures, amputations, stroke, and general frailty conditions.
You will work alongside the Clinical Lead OTs, Advanced Rotators and Allied Health Assistants to ensure excellent service delivery whilst having the opportunity to grow your toolkit of transdisciplinary knowledge as you start your career.About YouTo be successful in this role you will have:Tertiary qualification in Occupational TherapyCurrent APC or APC Obtainable by agreed start date.Clean Drivers Licence.Excellent decision-making ability and the ability to communicate with all personnel.Demonstrated successful relationships and partnerships crucial to delivering integrated services to our community.Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
