The Allied Health team at Whakatane Hospital is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join their team. This is a fixed term full-time position to 21 February 2025 and offers the opportunity to work across acute rehabilitation, emergency and inpatient wards (medical, surgical and paediatric), providing occupational therapy services according to priorities and as required.
The Allied Health teams are experienced and friendly teams who work together to support each other, to provide best outcomes for our clients.
This role is covered by the PSA Allied Public Health, Scientific and Technical Collective Agreement. Salary range for this position is $77,087 to $107,600.
You will be a New Zealand registered Occupational Therapist with preferably experience in rehabilitation and acute inpatient / hospital settings. You will be able to work autonomously and collaboratively and have excellent clinical and problem solving skills and an ability to communicate effectively with health professionals, health agencies, tangata whaiora/ clients and whanau.
You will preferably hold accreditation for enable funding in personal care, household management, and basic housing. Wheeled mobility and postural support level 1 would be an advantage.
