The Role This position is based in the community where you will be working with people of all ages with physical disabilities and long-term illness to participate in their daily occupations. We are patient-focused, utilise the Canadian Model of Occupational Performance and Engagement to drive our process, and measure our patient outcomes. We use an evidenced based approach in our assessments and interventions and we are quality driven. We work in an inter-disciplinary environment promoting independence, health and well-being for the people of our community.

Successful applicants will need to eligible to gain registration with the OT Board of New Zealand and hold a current practising certificate. You must also hold a current, clean and full driver's licence (international licences can be converted to New Zealand licences).
Ideally you will:
· Be self-sufficient, organised, motivated and a good communicator
· Enjoy working with people of all ages and different professions.
· Have the ability to think on your feet, work at times in a quick-paced environment.
· Effectively problem solve and think laterally.
· Be hard working, inquisitive, open to all learning opportunities.
We are looking for someone (ideally) with experience but will also consider experience in areas other than community. You will have a willingness to learn about wheelchair and seating assessments, pressure care intervention, cognitive assessments and housing modification assessments.
