The remuneration range for this role is $ 77087 to $116390 and is covered by the collective agreement: Allied, Public Health, Scientific & Technical Collective Agreement
The role is based in Gisborne Hospital and the community
The Occupational Therapy service runs from 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday. Open to part time and full time hours.

About the Role
Exciting opportunity to work in our Occupational Therapy team.
This position is rotational and based in the community and on the hospital wards (medical, surgical, orthopaedic, rehab) where you will be working with people of all ages with physical disabilities and long-term illness to participate in their daily occupations.

The ideal candidate will have a willingness to learn about wheelchair and seating assessments, pressure care intervention, cognitive assessments and housing modification assessments.

About the You
Successful applicants are to have be registered with the OT Board of New Zealand and hold a current practising certificate. They must also hold a current, clean and full driver's licence. Overseas applicants can be considered providing they are eligible for OT Board registration.
Desirable skills to bring would include:
Self-sufficient, organised, good communicator, motivated, takes initiatives.
Enjoys working with people of all ages and different professions.
Has the ability to think on their feet, work at times in a quick-paced environment.
Can effectively problem solve and think laterally.
Hard working, inquisitive, open to all learning opportunities.
Accountable and has good time management skills.
Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maorior a commitment tostarting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
