The role is based in Gisborne Hospital and the community.The Occupational Therapy service runs from 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday. Open to part-time and full-time hours.Offering a permanent contract.About the Role Exciting opportunity to work in our Occupational Therapy team.This position is rotational and based in the community and on the hospital wards (medical, surgical, orthopaedic, rehab) where you will be working with people of all ages with physical disabilities and long-term illness to participate in their daily occupations.Bring your Occupational Therapy skills to be part of a supportive, diverse team.About the Team/Service/Location Work in sunny Gisborne (proud to be the first city to see the sunrise). We work in an inter-disciplinary environment promoting independence, health, and well-being for the people of our community.The ideal candidate will have a willingness to learn about wheelchair and seating assessments, pressure care intervention, cognitive assessments, and housing modification assessments.Minimum Requirements Successful applicants must be registered with the OT Board of New Zealand and hold a current practising certificate. They must also hold a current, clean, and full driver's licence. Overseas applicants can be considered providing they are eligible for OT Board registration.
