About the role Focus on occupational therapy assessment and interventionDevelop knowledge and expertise in rehabilitation with a range of conditions including but not limited to orthopaedic, neurological and more general age related deconditioningCollaborate as part of an interprofessional team members, to plan and provide patient-centred rehabilitationProvide both inpatient and community Occupational Therapy services to the Waitaki regionThis role is predominantly based on the inpatient ward but will also cover the communityJoin a well-developed, ongoing support and professional development programmeAccess to course and conference funding with training opportunities across the districtDelve into a rural inter-disciplinary settingMinimum Requirements Enthusiastic team-player who is keen to grow their knowledge and skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach towards learningHigh levels of motivation and passion for the Occupational Therapy professionAble to work autonomously with a practical and solution focusRegistration with the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand and hold a current APCCompetency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthExperience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settingsWorking for Health New Zealand Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'. Salary range This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the Allied, Public Health, Scientific, and Technical CEA and the salary will be in accordance with the Pay Scale, between $76,442 and $107,000 p.a dependant on relevant experience.
