About the role Focus on occupational therapy assessment and interventionDevelop knowledge and expertise in rehabilitation with a range of conditions including but not limited to orthopaedic, neurological and more general age related deconditioning.Collaborate as part of an interprofessional team members, to plan and provide patient-centred rehabilitation.Provide both inpatient and community Occupational Therapy services to the Waitaki Region.This role is predominantly based on the inpatient ward but will also cover the community.Join a well-developed, ongoing support and professional development programme.Access to course and conference funding with training opportunities across the district.Delve into a rural inter-disciplinary setting.Minimum Requirements Enthusiastic team-player who is keen to grow their knowledge and skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach towards learning.High levels of motivation and passion for the Occupational Therapy profession.Able to work autonomously with a practical and solution focus.Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand and hold a current APC.Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New Zealand

Salary Range
This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the Allied, Public Health, Scientific, and Technical CEA and the salary will be in accordance with the Pay Scale, between $76,442 and $107,000 p.a dependant on relevant experience.
