About this role | Mo tenei turanga
Occupational Therapist – Permanent Full time - Motueka office. Can be based in Nelson or Motueka.
This is a key role where you'll be working with a transdisciplinary team around a student, including educators, parents, caregivers and whanau, helping them meet their educational goals through guidance and intervention plans.
You'll need to be highly motivated, committed to, and experienced in providing services and therapies for children and young people with moderate to severe disabilities.
The role involves:
Providing support and guidance to schools, teachers, and families to improve outcomes for children with additional learning needs
Designing specialist intervention plans individual (or group) for children and young people
Assessing, collaboratively planning, supporting, and monitoring the implementation of plans
Facilitating access to wider services and support, in response to individual need, for example speech and language therapy and local agencies.
Effective interventions as part of a transdisciplinary team.
Travel across our region, Nelson Marlborough West Coast, will be required.
Salary range $69,996 - $118,450 per annum pro rata + 3% kiwi saver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

The successful candidate will have:
Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification
You must be registered as an Occupational Therapist under the Health Practitioners Competency Assurance Act to apply for this position.
A current full driver's licence as travel is a requirement of this role.
The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.
