About the Role We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Te Whatu Ora, Hauora a Toi, Occupational Therapy Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an emerging career occupational therapist to join our team as an Advanced Rotator.
The first rotation will be at Community Allied Health based in Tauranga. The Community Allied Health Team is an interdisciplinary and innovative team that puts the community at the centre of everything it does. We currently deliver Occupational Therapy services across the Western Bay to clients with a wide range of conditions. There will be opportunity for the successful candidate to work on innovative projects and to develop further quality improvement initiatives or even research. Following your rotation in the Community, you would rotate to the hospital to complete rotations in the Medical and Orthopaedic wards.

To be successful in this role you will have: Tertiary qualification in Occupational TherapyCurrent APC or APC Obtainable by agreed start date.Clean Drivers Licence.Excellent decision-making ability is essential and the ability to communicate with all personnel.You can demonstrate successful relationships and partnerships crucial to delivering integrated services to our community.Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
