About the opportunity | Te whai waahi Working on-site and reporting to the Practice Lead as part of our Health & Rehabilitation team, this position has a high level of involvement with all health-related activities to ensure we meet the needs of our most valued assets - our people. As an Occupational Health Nurse covering our Whareroa site, you will be responsible for the delivery of our Health and Wellbeing programmes.
With a keen focus on worker health and wellbeing, key duties include:
Conduct risk-based periodic health monitoring Partner with your sites and our national Health & Wellbeing team to deliver health promotion programmes Deliver Health & Wellbeing initiatives to prevent workplace injuries/illness Liaising with workers, managers, and all other internal/external stakeholders to ensure we provide an optimised healthy work environment Coach and influence with our Health and Safety systems Support our rehabilitation programme. About you | Moe koe You will be a current registered nurse, passionate about providing first class occupational health management and have a positive "can-do" attitude. Bringing with you excellent people skills, you will be comfortable interacting with a variety of individuals and building strong, trusting relationships with employees on site. Additionally, you will have excellent problem-solving skills, demonstrate initiative and be a collaborative team player who is equally comfortable working autonomously.
Registered Nurse with an annual practising certificate Ability to engage with people from all levels and quickly establish trust Preferably experience with community or employee wellbeing and rehabilitation Experience with workplace health monitoring such as pre-employment drug testing Travel across the wider Taranaki region as and when required.
